What a GREAT eXPerience is to be an OC on a national congress...Let me tell u about it...
This ppl that u see on this photo are the ppl that I worked with.
Where? What?
Well this is how the story goes.
I was asked from my MC VP PD(Majkus) do I want to go and be an OC (Organizing Committee) on a conference in a foreign country. I said yes why not. A new experience for me will be a good change. Then after few days i got an sms from Majkus saying '' Martince pack your bags you are going in Turkey ''. To tell u the truth I wasn't very exited because I knew that I don't know anyone from there. So I was frighten, and all the time i was thinking '' How am I going to talk to them? Are they going to except me or not? '' But still I wanted to go... To meet new ppl and to learn some think about AIESEC in the world. So the time came. I packed my bags before I got in the bus I had some challenges(problems) but still I wasn't giving up. No way. First of all i did pack my BIG suitcase, so I wasn't gone unpack all the thinks again.
I went to the bus station with my dad and after he left I stayed with my mom and Majkus.I got in the bus. It was nice because I was siting alone on two sits.
(It was because I am a BIG girl)
The funny thing was that after BG border I was the only lady in the bus. What happend?
After we pass the BG border I went to sleep and after a while i got up because the bus stopped and we were making a break. So I look around and I notice that there was no lady in the bus. So at first I was frighten imagine 15 guys and u are the only one lady in the bus, plus u have no idea what happen with the lady that was in the bus. Then I had a little imagination in my mind but that didn't lass long. After all there are some benefits when u find your self alone between 15 man, for example I didn't carry my suitcase they were caring it instead of me. The trip was over. On 27th at 7 am(in Turkish time) I arrived in Istanbul. They have a enormously big bus station.
But good organized bus station.
There is no chance to get lost.
Lucky me i didn't had chance to get lost...So after my arriving I was waiting for 15 or 20 minutes at the agency, and I knew that I was waiting for my OCP Zeynep, but I had no idea how did she looked. Before I got to Istanbul we were contacting and she sent me a photo of the OCs, but she did tell who is who on the photo. But no problem I knew that some of them is Zeynep. After few minutes she enter the door...When I saw her entering the door ah that was so reliving.
You know when you go in another country away from home where you for a fact don't know anyone plus you are alone. It is kind a scary at least for me. Finally got to meet the OC team. The team that teach me the meaning of the word TEAM. Those ppl made me think about work in the TEAM, also inspired me to do my job as OCP MILDS 2007 in the best possible way.

They excepted me as a team member, they tread me as i was already working with them for the whole time.
